What It’s All About
Set in the famed sculptor Paul Manship’s Gloucester, Massachusetts house just down the street from where I live, and against a backdrop of absences created by the COVID epidemic, Stone, Ghost, Life explores absence, presence, and ephemeral connection across time and distance. The strange and uncanny photographs that form this book’s core are the result of a remarkable collaborative “Ghost Residency” pursued by myself and the poet Marc Zegans in 2020, one that later expanded to include Dr. Samantha Harvey, professor of English at Boise State University.
Stone, Ghost, Life, whose first edition will be limited to 100 beautifully crafted copies, will include thirty-five of my photographs, an introduction by Marc Zegans discussing the ghost residency, and an essay by Dr. Harvey. – Tsar Fedorsky
This project was the subject of a very successful Kickstarter Campaign in March and April 2023. The support of the project was phenomenal! Within 30 hours of the launch, the funds required to print the first edition fine art book were realized and the artists undertook a “stretch goal’“ to raise additional funds to refine the quality of the tome further.
There are still opportunities to reserve your copy of the first edition by Tsar Fedorsky and Marc Zegans or order fine art prints; click here to make a purchase.
