Richard Thieriot

(he/him)

I worked and trained as an actor for most of my adult life. Music and writing arrived later for me but they are now the bulk of my work. My love of the classical theater, and Shakespeare specifically, has effects everything I make. I aim to keep the serious and the silly, the sacred and the profane, in balance. As Robert Wilson said “If you’re going to tell people the truth, you better make them laugh or they’ll kill you.” Being at part of Medusa at Manship was a truly wonderful experience. It was a week surrounded by kind, generous, talented people all working towards a shared and beloved goal. I am so grateful for my time there.
