Hadley Mays is an actress, interdisciplinary performing artist, theater deviser, teacher and
workshop facilitator. She has worked and studied in many cultures in contemporary, ancient and postmodern traditions. Hadley holds an MFA in Theater and Contemporary Performance from Naropa University, CO. USA, in a program which has developed a new paradigm in performance training-based on new somatic techniques, contemplative practice and view, world theater, and dance forms.
As an actress performing nationally and internationally, she has worked in both classical and experimental theater. As an interdisciplinary artist she has performed and devised work across many forms of theater, dance and performance-including Butoh, Classical theater, Afro-diasporic dance, Object theater, performance installations, movement theater, ensemble collaborations, experimental theater and ritual performance. Hadley Mays also creates and produces her own original and solo works.
